It is somewhat surreal typing out that this is our last week of our lecture phase in Discipleship Training School, week 10! After our mini-outreach to Spokane, WA it appears we entered hyper-speed and there seems to be no end in sight as we anxiously await our newest little one! Last week the topic was on Identity and Spiritual Warfare as we went through the book of Ephesians.

Last week we finally had our 34 week ultrasound it was about an hour and half of getting to see our precious miracle. I don’t think I can ever fully express in words how grateful and humbled I am during an ultrasound. The sheer awe and wonder of knowing that God has knit this tiny little human together in my womb is so overwhelming. I am beyond grateful that he chose us and I cannot wait to welcome this little one into our family very soon! This pregnancy has had its moments since we found out we were expecting right after we told God that we would follow His call for us into the mission field. We thought that was a shock and life changing … little did we realize He had another amazing adventure within our journey. After our ultrasound, we met with the Dr. who was able to give us more information in regards to my placenta previa and if I could be cleared or not. The placenta had not moved up to its normal position BUT it had moved enough that I will not be required to have a C-section delivery!!! Hallelujah!!! I cannot tell you how relieved I was to hear this news! God is good! Now, prayer that the remainder of the pregnancy goes smoothly without any issues.

Another answer to prayer came Wednesday evening. We were on our way to our first small group meeting from church when we received an email. We were told that a family on base was going to be leaving this Saturday through April 10 and had offered for us to stay in there home while they were gone. This would allow us some time, space and privacy for when we are expected to bring our baby home!! What an amazing answer to prayer. Yes, it is temporary but I cannot say enough how grateful we are just to have a few precious weeks outside of the dorm room as our family gets ready to experience another major life change. We are just so grateful and thankful that our God cares about the littlest details of our lives. Thank you for continuing to provide support and prayer for our family - we appreciate them all!!

April 1st, Jonathan will start with Mission Builders during the interim as we wait to join the Spring Discipleship Training School late May/early June before we go overseas.

“Before I spoke a word, You were singing over me
You have been so, so good to me
Before I took a breath, You breathed Your life in me
You have been so, so kind to me

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn't earn it, and I don't deserve it, still, You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah”
