The Power of Prayer

We hope you had a Merry Christmas with family and friends this year. This time of year can be so difficult for so many reasons. Whether you are missing someone special, it wasn’t feasible to give the gifts you wanted or you were sick our hope is that you were able to ponder over the greatest gift ever given…Jesus.

We had a very intimate Christmas this year and we tried very hard to focus on celebrating Him and all God has done for our family. We were invited over to share in a Christmas Brunch with the family who is currently blessing us with a place to stay. It was such a special time as we got to fellowship with them and they even loved on our kids with gifts. We were truly blessed this year with the unexpected as we had a Christmas tree and some additional gifts for our kids…these seemingly small gestures were truly touching.

While trying to relax and enjoy this break in the Holiday the boys and I have come down with colds (I never knew how much snot two boys could produce). I am hopeful that we are on the mend as we have a few busy weeks ahead of us and we honestly just don’t have time for anyone to be sick. Let alone over half the family!

We wanted to give you an update on our BLOG POST asking for prayers over our family and ministry for 2020. We have already seen God move in amazing ways and we wanted to share with you!

Creative Media: Last week a young man who just completed his Endurance Discipleship Training School here in Montana reached out to let us know he would like to come work in our department this Spring! This young man has an amazing God given gift with different art techniques, has experience with working with creative media, has an energetic/magnetic personality and has a powerful testimony to share! We have been praying with and for this young man since we met him back in August and we are beyond excited to have him help in our department! We are expectant for what God will do with his skills here and in the nations!

Security: We finally were given the green light to start some training that we will be able to utilize for in house training as well. We also are working on several potential opportunities to go to other bases and help with their Security in 2020.

House: I still don’t really know how to explain this other than….God.

Back in late September/early October I felt like I was being told to place a Craigslist add for our family. So I created a wanted housing post for our family explaining our needs. We had a couple responses, one hateful response and then on October 18th we had someone reach out wanting to know more. I shared what we had done the last year and what our needs were for the next few years as well as our website. I expected this would either be another no response or another “we wish you the best of luck” but we continued in communication and encouraging one another in what God was doing in both of our families. A few weeks ago, we were able to meet this couple in person and they were even able to attend one of our YWAM Community Nights. We were still reaching out to rentals but nothing was working out and the options were getting slimmer and slimmer. This past Saturday, we received an email that this couple wanted to partner with us and let us take care of their home! I cannot even begin to express the emotions that we had over this news. It truly was the best Christmas present we could have ever received for our family…a ‘House of Peace’.

God orchestrated ALL of this from a Craigslist add for a Missionary family in need of housing! God answered our Prayer in such a beautiful way!! This was a big step of faith for this couple to partner with us and we pray peace and blessings over their family as they walk this out in obedience.

Finances & Prayer Needs: We cannot thank you enough for committing to join with us in praying for our family and ministry. God already has done amazing things and we are so excited to see what he does in 2020.

In regards to this new rental we will be paying more then what we have been but it is a lower rate then anywhere else! Which is a HUGE blessing. We have received several one time gifts that will be able to help us pay several months upfront! Praise God! Another request is that we are still looking for 7 New Monthly partners at $40 or more. With this new rental we will have some additional bills and the property is unfurnished (no kitchenware, beds, etc). We will be looking to get some basic household items so any additional contributions this month would be greatly appreciated! As many of you know we sold all of our big furniture and majority of our belongings last year. We do still have a few personal items and our hope is that we can eventually get those up to Montana.

We are so thankful and blown away in how God has already answered our prayers in so many ways! Thank you for partnering with us financially and through prayer! We truly could never do any of this without you joining and supporting us in this ministry!

“Never underestimate the power of prayer! Constant prayer, with full conviction, without loss of hope, really does create miracles.” Ritu Ghatourey
